Eating together: talk and meal (Veggie Pride 2013)

Talk and meal 19th May 2013 at Loex Eco-site (Bernex, Switzerland)

Billons of animals live short lives in appalling conditions only to be killed for food. The most important advance for animals’ rights is to stop eating and exploiting them.

Food Access

A verified list of foods acceptable to most cultures helps protect freedom of conscience for everyone (Orthodox Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, secular vegetarians and vegans, etc.).

Health protection

The list of foods to Eat Together is designed to achieve balanced plant-based meals for collective catering, helping to meet European Health policy.

Official dietary guidelines for plant-based diets don’t protect vegans equally worldwide.

Eating Together helps protecting the health and freedom of humans and animals.

Protection of the environment

When a healthy balanced meal is prepared with seasonal local vegetables, it reduces environmental foodprint. Several converging studies measure reduction levels which help to protect the environment of humans and animals.

Veggie Pride local and international groups cooperate to produce the meal. The talk presents the work of the educational European partnership Eating Together (Vegan Society FR, Vegetarian Association CH, Animal Alliance DK).
